I Wrote a Quickpost Plugin
Monday, December 1st, 2008I broke down and wrote a quick post applet for Wordpress. It turns out my reservations about making a quick post applet for Wordpress were overblown. All Wordpress needed was a single function call in the PHP script to make the post. It’s ugly and can’t align things by a control, but it mostly works, and is usable.
While the plugin works as designed, even without showing up in the plugins list. If I put the Magic Comments™ in the PHP file, it shows up, but it won’t “activate.” The include path screws up somehow. Probably could just pull a QuickPost stunt, and create a separate PHP file that handles the activation. That’s probably the easiest.
I still can’t decide between delicious and blogging. What the hell is delicious for?

Monday, November 24th, 2008I can’t find a decent quickpost applet for wordpress. Press This only apparently works with the weirdo rich text editor, and the authors of QuickPost for some reason only support grabbing youtube videos form the youtube site itself, instead of pretty much any video. (Just search for the embed and object object tags!)
I really don’t want to have to write one.
